We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) team. As an RN in our OB/GYN department, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients and their families. - Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients and their families in the OB/GYN department.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' health status.
- Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in their condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on patient care and department policies.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of OB/GYN nursing through attending seminars, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Mentor and guide junior nursing staff and students.
- Adhere to the organization's mission, values, and code of ethics in all aspects of work.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Rn Working In Ob/Gyn At Mainegeneral Health Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Valid Rn License: All Candidates For The Rn-Ob/Gyn Position Must Have A Valid Rn License In The State Of Maine, Or Be Eligible To Obtain One.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Ob/Gyn: Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Ob/Gyn Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.
Bls And Acls Certification: Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Required For This Position.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Rn In Ob/Gyn, Effective Communication With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential. Candidates Must Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.
