Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) team. As an RN in our OB/GYN department, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients and their families.   1. Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients and their families in the OB/GYN department.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' health status.
  4. Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in their condition.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on patient care and department policies.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of OB/GYN nursing through attending seminars, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  12. Mentor and guide junior nursing staff and students.
  13. Adhere to the organization's mission, values, and code of ethics in all aspects of work.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Rn Working In Ob/Gyn At Mainegeneral Health Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Valid Rn License: All Candidates For The Rn-Ob/Gyn Position Must Have A Valid Rn License In The State Of Maine, Or Be Eligible To Obtain One.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Ob/Gyn: Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Ob/Gyn Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Required For This Position.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Rn In Ob/Gyn, Effective Communication With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential. Candidates Must Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.
