Qualifications:• Master of Science in Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine• National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner• Demonstrated knowledge of current psychiatric nursing practices and trends• Demonstrated knowledge of community resources for mental health• Demonstrated knowledge of psychopharmacology• Demonstrated knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of patient-centered care• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills• Demonstrated ability to think critically and make sound judgments• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development

Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate care to patients in need of mental health services.
2. Utilize knowledge of psychopharmacology, current psychiatric nursing practices, and community resources to develop individualized treatment plans.
3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Provide patient education and support.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team.
6. Participate in professional growth and development activities.
7. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Maintain patient confidentiality.
9. Assist in developing protocols, policies, and procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
