Pharmacy Technician

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to pharmacy staff while assisting with medication preparation and dispensing and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is an organized and reliable individual with a passion for helping people.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience as a pharmacy technician, and a valid pharmacy technician certification. In addition, you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong customer service and communication skills. 1. Assist with medication preparation and dispensing in accordance with state and federal regulations.
2. Ensure accuracy of prescriptions and inventory management.
3. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
4. Respond to customer inquiries and provide necessary information.
5. Receive and process orders accurately and promptly.
6. Maintain records of medication orders and dispensing activities.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
8. Follow all safety and security protocols in the pharmacy.
9. Assist with the training of new staff members.
10. Stay up-to-date with pharmacy regulations and procedures.
