Medical Lab Technician

MaineGeneral Health is looking for an experienced and qualified Medical Lab Technician to join our team. The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and providing quality patient care.We are looking for an individual with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. The successful candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively with other staff members. Additionally, the individual must be highly detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask efficiently. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is committed to providing the highest level of service and quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform laboratory tests, analyze results, and provide accurate reports.
2. Maintain accurate patient records and test results.
3. Follow all safety protocols and processes in the laboratory.
4. Maintain clean and well-stocked laboratory areas.
5. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure quality patient care.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to other laboratory personnel.
7. Monitor and order laboratory supplies as needed.
8. Adhere to all laboratory standards and regulations.
9. Perform quality control and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
10. Maintain current knowledge of medical laboratory technology and procedures.
