  1. Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, making them feel welcome and comfortable in the Outpatient Surgery department.
  2. Assist with patient check-in, including verifying personal and insurance information, and preparing necessary forms and documents.
  3. Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  4. Assist surgeons with pre- and post-operative tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, and providing post-operative instructions.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good working condition.
  6. Follow proper infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  7. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional service and address any concerns or questions.
  9. Collaborate with other medical assistants and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the Outpatient Surgery department.
  10. Attend trainings and stay updated on current medical and surgical procedures and techniques.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions and tasks.
  12. Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned by the department manager or supervising physicians.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification Or Associate's Degree In Medical Assisting From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Outpatient Surgery Setting.

  • Proficiency In Medical Terminology, Electronic Health Records, And Other Relevant Software Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Patient Population.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Sterilization Techniques, And Infection Control Protocols.
