Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and detail-oriented Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our growing team at MaineGeneral Health! Responsibilities:

1. Perform blood draws and other laboratory specimen collection procedures with precision and accuracy.
2. Ensure a sterile and safe environment while performing specimen collection.
3. Verify patient information and enter data into lab system accurately.
4. Label and process specimens according to established protocols.
5. Monitor and document quality control measures.
6. Maintain lab equipment and supplies.
7. Respond to inquiries from patients and staff members in a polite and timely manner.
8. Comply with all safety regulations and policies of the health care facility.
9. Follow proper specimen handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
10. Assist in other laboratory tasks as needed.
