Job Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) License: A Cna-M At Mainegeneral Health Must Possess A Valid Cna License From The State Of Maine. This License Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Training And Passed A Competency Exam To Provide Skilled Nursing Care.

  • Experience In Skilled And Long-Term Care: Candidates For The Cna-M Position Should Have Prior Experience Working In Skilled Nursing And Long-Term Care Settings. This Experience Should Include Providing Direct Patient Care, Assisting With Activities Of Daily Living, And Administering Medication Under The Supervision Of A Nurse.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations: Mainegeneral Health Follows Strict State And Federal Regulations For Skilled And Long-Term Care Facilities. A Cna-M Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Provide Quality Care To Patients.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In A Cna-M Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.

  • Compassionate And Empathetic: Working In Skilled And Long-Term Care Requires A Great Deal Of Compassion And Empathy. A Cna-M At Mainegeneral Health Should Have A Caring And Patient Demeanor To Provide Comfort And Support To Patients And Their Families During Difficult Times.
