Job Description

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor (RN) to join our team.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the clinical department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  2. Provide strong leadership and direction to the nursing staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  3. Mentor and develop nursing staff through regular performance evaluations, coaching, and training.
  4. Maintain and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety, in accordance with MaineGeneral Health policies and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  6. Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care and clinical processes.
  8. Adhere to all legal, ethical and regulatory guidelines in the performance of duties.
  9. Act as a resource for nursing staff, providing clinical expertise and guidance in complex cases.
  10. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new nursing staff, ensuring the selection of highly qualified and competent individuals.
  11. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the clinical department.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a patient-centered approach to care.
  13. Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement evidence-based protocols and guidelines for patient care.
  15. Stay current on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in nursing and healthcare.
  16. Monitor and manage the department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  17. Participate in meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall success of MaineGeneral Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Maine With At Least 5 Years Of Clinical Experience.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Previous Supervisory Or Management Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practice And Quality Improvement Initiatives.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Mentor And Develop Clinical Staff.
