
Clinical Dietitian
At MaineGeneral Health, we are looking for an experienced, passionate Clinical Dietitian to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nutrition and the role of nutrition in health and disease, and will be committed to providing the highest standard of dietetic care to our patients. We are looking for a professional with strong interpersonal skills who is eager to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and will be an effective advocate for our patient's dietary needs.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition, and be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or willing to obtain RDN registration. A minimum of one year of experience providing nutrition care in a healthcare setting is preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential to this role. The Clinical Dietitian must be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop nutrition care plans for patients based on individual health needs.
- Monitor patient progress and modify plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on nutrition-related topics.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies for improving patient nutrition care.
- Advocate for patient's dietary needs in order to ensure optimal nutrition care.
- Manage and update patient records.
- Research and implement evidence-based nutrition strategies.
- Develop and implement nutrition policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical nutrition and dietetics.
- Develop and present nutrition education programs for patient and staff.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification
