Job Description

MaineGeneral Health is looking for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Perianesthesia to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will provide direct nursing care to patients in a perianesthesia setting. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a clinical setting, and will possess excellent communication and organizational skills. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about delivering quality care to our patients.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDCurrent certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of MaineCurrent American Heart Association BLS certificationOne year of nursing assistant experience in a clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct nursing care to patients in a perianesthesia setting
  2. Maintain patient records and documentation of care
  3. Assist with activities of daily living for patients
  4. Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team
  5. Assist in the implementation of patient care plans
  6. Provide patient education and emotional support
  7. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  8. Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  9. Participate in team meetings and patient care planning
  10. Comply with organizational policies and procedures
