Job Description

MaineGeneral Health is looking for an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team of healthcare professionals and provide compassionate, quality care to our patients in the greater Augusta area. The ideal candidate must have excellent clinical and communication skills, and a personal commitment to maternal and newborn care. The Certified Nurse Midwife will be responsible for providing specialized support and care to pregnant women, their babies, and families, from initial assessment through labor and delivery.We are seeking an individual with the qualifications and experience necessary to provide high-level care for our patients. The successful candidate must be a licensed Certified Nurse Midwife in Maine and have a minimum of two years of experience in obstetrical care. They must also demonstrate a strong knowledge of the latest obstetric and gynecologic advances and practices. Additionally, the successful applicant must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing quality care to our patients and is committed to the principles of patient- and family-centered care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide specialized support and care to pregnant women, their babies, and families, from initial assessment through labor and delivery.
  2. Provide high-level care for patients.
  3. Perform clinical assessments and provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  4. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the latest obstetric and gynecologic advances and practices.
  5. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  7. Provide compassionate, quality care to patients.
  8. Maintain compliance with clinical practice guidelines.
  9. Maintain patient records and document all care provided.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the patient and other members of the healthcare team.
