
Certified Medical Assistant - Dermatology
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant - Dermatology to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering patient-centered care and is committed to excellence. The ideal candidate for this position will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong desire to be part of a dynamic team.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and have at least one year of experience in a dermatology setting. Proficiency in electronic medical records and medical terminology, and a commitment to adhering to patient confidentiality guidelines are essential. The successful candidate should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
-Provide exceptional care to patients in a dermatology setting -Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical records -Follow patient confidentiality guidelines -Communicate effectively with patients and other medical professionals -Assist in the preparation of exam rooms -Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations -Assist with medical office duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing -Perform laboratory tests as requested -Administer medications as directed -Check vital signs and update patient's medical history -Provide patient education on treatments and self-care -Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment
