Senior Engineer - Corporate Systems

Macy's is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Corporate Systems team. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, analytical thinker, and a team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of the mission-critical applications and systems that power our business.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of experience in software engineering, and 3+ years of experience in a related field. Expertise in C#, .NET, SQL, and Java is a must. Experience working in an Agile environment and knowledge of DevOps practices is also preferred. The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Finally, the successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to thrive in a team setting.

Responsibilites:

1. Oversee the development, maintenance, and support of mission-critical applications and systems.
2. Utilize expertise in C#, .NET, SQL, and Java to develop and implement software engineering solutions.
3. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Provide technical support for end-users of mission-critical applications and systems.
5. Maintain and adhere to established coding standards and best practices.
6. Troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions to resolve them.
7. Work in an Agile environment and utilize DevOps practices.
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and industry trends.
9. Prepare technical documentation for the development, maintenance, and support of mission-critical applications and systems.
10. Develop and execute unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
