- Receive and process incoming merchandise from vendors and distribution centers.
- Verify accuracy of shipments and ensure all merchandise is accounted for.
- Sort and organize merchandise according to department and location.
- Prepare merchandise for sales floor by tagging, labeling, and steaming as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming merchandise.
- Assist in the resolution of customer inquiries and complaints related to merchandise.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to protect merchandise and maintain a safe work environment.
- Continuously maintain knowledge of store policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by being friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable to customers.
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts to ensure accurate merchandise levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth and efficient merchandise flow.
- Actively seek out ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects: A Retail Receiving Support Associate Must Be Able To Lift And Carry Boxes And Merchandise Weighing Up To 50 Pounds On A Regular Basis.
Organizational Skills: This Position Requires Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Inventory, Keep Track Of Shipments, And Maintain Accurate Records Of Received And Returned Merchandise.
Attention To Detail: A Retail Receiving Support Associate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Merchandise Is Received And Processed Accurately, And That Any Discrepancies Are Addressed Promptly.
Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Vital In This Role, As The Retail Receiving Support Associate Will Need To Work Closely With Other Team Members, As Well As External Vendors, To Coordinate Shipments And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems, Such As Sap Or Oracle, Is Preferred For This Position. This Will Enable The Retail Receiving Support Associate To Efficiently Track And Manage Inventory Levels And Assist With Inventory Reconciliation.
