- Receive and process incoming merchandise according to company guidelines and standards.
- Inspect and verify accuracy of merchandise received, including quantities and condition.
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled and tagged for inventory and pricing purposes.
- Communicate with various departments to coordinate timely and accurate merchandise deliveries.
- Maintain organized and efficient receiving area, including unloading and storing merchandise in designated locations.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies.
- Work closely with sales associates to ensure merchandise is available and ready for customer purchase.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries related to merchandise received.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Assist with other retail operations tasks as needed, such as restocking shelves or assisting with customer transactions.
- Keep track of received merchandise and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate merchandise handling.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures for receiving and handling merchandise.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
Experience In Receiving And Processing Merchandise: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Handling And Processing Incoming Shipments, Including Unpacking, Verifying Contents, And Recording Inventory.
Strong Attention To Detail: As A Retail Receiving Support Associate, Accuracy Is Crucial In Organizing And Maintaining Inventory. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Items Are Properly Received And Accounted For.
Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems: Macy's Uses Various Inventory Management Systems To Track And Manage Merchandise. Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working With These Systems Or Be Able To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Software.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Items: This Position May Involve Frequent Lifting And Moving Of Heavy Boxes And Merchandise. Candidates Should Be Physically Capable Of Performing These Tasks To Ensure The Efficient Flow Of Merchandise.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Retail Receiving Support Associate Works Closely With The Store's Receiving Team, As Well As Other Departments Such As Sales And Merchandising. The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.
