- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments from vendors and distribution centers.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all received merchandise by carefully inspecting and matching against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock merchandise in the designated receiving areas according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to facilitate efficient merchandise flow.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by tagging and labeling items and ensuring proper pricing.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with incoming merchandise to management in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of all merchandise.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures to protect company assets and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity in the receiving department.
- Uphold the Macy's brand standards and represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
