1. Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments from vendors and distribution centers.
2. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all received merchandise by carefully inspecting and matching against purchase orders.
3. Organize and stock merchandise in the designated receiving areas according to company standards.
4. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to facilitate efficient merchandise flow.
5. Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by tagging and labeling items and ensuring proper pricing.
6. Communicate any discrepancies or issues with incoming merchandise to management in a timely manner.
7. Assist with inventory management by conducting cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of all merchandise.
9. Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department.
10. Adhere to all safety and security procedures to protect company assets and maintain a safe working environment.
11. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.
12. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity in the receiving department.
13. Uphold the Macy's brand standards and represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
