Material Handler

Welcome to the Macy's team! We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse department. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of merchandise throughout our distribution center. This position requires someone who is organized, physically fit, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. 1. Receive and process incoming shipments of merchandise, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Inspect and verify the quality of all incoming products and materials.
3. Unload and load trucks, pallets, and containers using proper equipment and techniques.
4. Organize and stock shelves, bins, and racks with merchandise according to established procedures.
5. Keep accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
6. Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, following company protocols and safety guidelines.
7. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and transport merchandise.
8. Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, dusting, and disposing of trash.
9. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and ensure timely delivery of orders.
10. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
11. Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate tasks and resolve any issues that may arise.
12. Continuously improve and streamline processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
13. Attend training sessions and stay updated on warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices.
14. Adhere to company values and principles, promoting a positive work culture and representing Macy's in a professional manner.
