- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with merchandising, buying, and allocation teams to develop and execute merchandise plans.
- Analyze data: Utilize sales, inventory, and market trend data to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
- Assist with merchandise planning process: Support the development of merchandise plans, including assortment plans, inventory levels, and pricing strategies.
- Monitor and track inventory levels: Keep track of stock levels and make recommendations for replenishment or markdowns to optimize sales and profitability.
- Conduct market research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to inform merchandise strategies.
- Develop financial plans: Assist in creating financial plans, including sales, margin, and inventory targets, to meet company goals.
- Identify opportunities for growth: Analyze sales and inventory data to identify areas of opportunity and make recommendations for business growth.
- Communicate with vendors: Maintain relationships with vendors and communicate product needs and timeline expectations.
- Support promotional and seasonal events: Assist in developing and executing merchandise plans for seasonal events and promotions.
- Ensure accuracy of data: Review and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies for resolution.
- Monitor and report on KPIs: Track and report on key performance indicators to monitor the success of merchandise strategies.
- Stay organized: Maintain accurate and organized records, reports, and documents related to merchandise planning.
- Embody company values: Represent the company's values and standards in all interactions with team members, vendors, and customers.
- Attend team meetings and trainings: Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Continuously improve processes: Identify areas for improvement and actively contribute to process enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Marketing, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Retail Planning Or Buying
Proficient In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work With Cross-Functional Teams.
