1. Collaborate with senior designers to create and execute innovative and on-trend home collections for Macy's customers.
2. Utilize strong design skills to create compelling and visually appealing product designs.
3. Research and stay up-to-date on current home design trends and themes.
4. Work with the buying team to ensure designs meet the needs and preferences of Macy's target demographic.
5. Assist in developing and maintaining product specifications and technical documents.
6. Participate in brainstorming sessions and present creative ideas and suggestions.
7. Create and maintain design sketches, digital renderings, and physical samples.
8. Review and approve product samples for quality and accuracy.
9. Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and sales.
10. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
11. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the Macy's Home department.
12. Continuously strive to improve design skills and stay current on industry trends and techniques.
13. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality in all designs and projects.
14. Uphold Macy's brand standards and design aesthetic.
15. Assist in the training and development of junior design team members.
16. Uphold a positive and professional attitude and represent Macy's in a positive light to external partners and vendors.
