  1. Protect store assets: This includes monitoring and preventing theft, vandalism, and other forms of loss to the store's merchandise, equipment, and property.
  2. Ensure employee and customer safety: The Asset Protection Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers. This includes monitoring and responding to potential safety hazards, as well as assisting in emergency situations.
  3. Conduct surveillance: Utilizing surveillance equipment and techniques, the Asset Protection Officer will monitor the store for any suspicious or concerning behavior and take appropriate action.
  4. Enforce store policies: The Asset Protection Officer will enforce store policies to prevent theft and maintain a safe shopping environment. This includes checking receipts and monitoring employee and customer behavior.
  5. Collaborate with store management: The Asset Protection Officer will work closely with store management to identify potential security risks and develop strategies to prevent them.
  6. Investigate incidents: In the event of theft or other incidents, the Asset Protection Officer will conduct investigations, gather evidence, and work with law enforcement as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate records: The Asset Protection Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of any incidents or suspicious activities.
  8. Communicate effectively: Strong communication skills are essential for this role. The Asset Protection Officer will need to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and law enforcement.
