As an Asset Protection Detective, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of our merchandise, property, and most importantly, our people.   1. Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations into any suspicious activity or incidents that occur on Macy's property.
  3. Utilize surveillance equipment and technology to identify potential threats and risks.
  4. Collaborate with store management and law enforcement to address and resolve security issues.
  5. Train and educate store employees on security protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  6. Create and maintain detailed reports of all security-related incidents and actions taken.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current security trends and implement new strategies to prevent theft and protect assets.
  8. Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations and escalate as needed.
  9. Monitor and enforce safety protocols, including fire and emergency evacuation procedures.
  10. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor to assist customers with any security concerns they may have.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Asset Protection Or Loss Prevention.

  • Ability To Handle Stressful Situations And Make Quick Decisions In High-Pressure Environments.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws Related To Asset Protection And Theft Prevention.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Customers, Team Members, And Law Enforcement.

  • Familiarity With Surveillance Equipment And Techniques, As Well As Basic Computer Skills For Report Writing And Evidence Collection.
