- Stay up-to-date on current security trends and techniques to continuously improve the safety and security of the store.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Demonstrate integrity and adhere to ethical standards in all job duties.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the asset protection team to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.

Experience In Loss Prevention: A Successful Asset Protection Detective At Macy's Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment. They Should Be Well-Versed In Identifying And Preventing Theft, Fraud, And Other Security Risks.
Knowledge Of Security Protocols: A Strong Understanding Of Security Protocols And Procedures Is Essential For An Asset Protection Detective. This Includes Knowledge Of Cctv Systems, Alarm Systems, And Other Security Equipment Used In A Retail Setting.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Skills Are Crucial For An Asset Protection Detective. They Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Customers, Employees, And Law Enforcement Officials In Potentially Stressful Situations.
Attention To Detail: Asset Protection Detectives Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail In Order To Identify Potential Security Risks And Suspicious Behavior. They Should Be Able To Observe And Document Incidents Accurately And Thoroughly.
