  1. Conduct regular patrols of the store premises to identify and prevent potential security risks.
  2. Monitor CCTV cameras and report any suspicious activity to the store management.
  3. Investigate and document any incidents of theft, fraud, or other security violations.
  4. Collaborate with store management and law enforcement agencies to resolve security issues.
  5. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to asset protection and loss prevention.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for store associates on security and theft prevention.
  7. Conduct thorough investigations of all reported incidents, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage.
  8. Maintain accurate records of all security incidents and produce detailed reports for management.
  9. Work closely with store management to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, employees, and law enforcement personnel.
  11. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and loss prevention.
  12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  13. Participate in regular safety and security audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  14. Act as a visible deterrent to potential criminals and create a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.
  15. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the store management.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Asset Protection Or Loss Prevention: This Could Include Previous Work As A Security Guard, Loss Prevention Officer, Or Similar Role With A Focus On Protecting Company Assets.

  • Strong Observation And Surveillance Skills: Asset Protection Detectives Must Be Able To Closely Monitor Store Activity And Identify Suspicious Behavior Or Potential Theft.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Working Closely With Store Management, Other Employees, And Potentially Law Enforcement, So Strong Communication And People Skills Are Essential.

  • Knowledge Of Security And Theft Prevention Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Security Protocols And Techniques For Preventing Theft, As Well As An Understanding Of Common Theft Tactics.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Make Quick Decisions: Asset Protection Detectives Often Work Alone And Must Be Able To Make Split-Second Decisions In High-Pressure Situations To Prevent Theft Or Minimize Losses.
