  1. Conduct surveillance: Monitor store activities and identify any potential threats or suspicious behavior.
  2. Investigate incidents: Respond to reported incidents and conduct thorough investigations to determine the cause and identify any perpetrators.
  3. Monitor and enforce store policies: Ensure that all store policies and procedures related to asset protection are being followed by employees and customers.
  4. Collaborate with team: Work closely with other asset protection team members and store management to develop and implement effective security strategies.
  5. Maintain a safe environment: Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of customers and employees.
  6. Utilize security equipment: Operate and maintain various security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and electronic article surveillance systems.
  7. Train and educate: Provide training and education to store employees on asset protection procedures and best practices.
  8. Handle apprehensions: Use proper techniques and protocols to safely apprehend and detain individuals suspected of theft or other criminal activities.
  9. Document and report: Accurately document all incidents and investigations and submit timely reports to store management and corporate security.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends: Stay informed about current industry trends and techniques to continuously improve asset protection strategies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Observational Skills: Asset Protection Detectives Must Have The Ability To Carefully Observe Customers And Identify Any Suspicious Behavior Or Activity.

  • Knowledge Of Security Procedures And Protocols: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Measures And Procedures, Including Cctv Monitoring, Access Control, And Emergency Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Asset Protection Detectives Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Both Customers And Colleagues, As Well As Provide Detailed Reports And Testimony If Necessary.

  • Physical Fitness And Agility: This Role May Require Standing And Walking For Extended Periods Of Time, As Well As The Ability To Quickly Respond To Potential Security Threats.

  • Prior Experience In Loss Prevention: Having Previous Experience In A Similar Role, Such As Loss Prevention Or Security, Can Be Beneficial For Understanding The Specific Challenges And Strategies For Asset Protection In A Retail Setting.
