Job Description

As an Asset Protection Detective at Macy's, you will be part of a team responsible for preserving the store's assets and maintaining a safe shopping environment for customers. We are looking for an individual with the necessary qualifications and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Additionally, we require a minimum of one year of experience in loss prevention, retail security, or law enforcement. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor store activity for any suspicious behavior and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of customers and employees.
  2. Investigate incidents of shoplifting, fraud, or theft and compile detailed reports of findings.
  3. Educate staff on best practices for loss prevention and security.
  4. Utilize CCTV systems to monitor store activity and detect suspicious behavior.
  5. Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance to customers and staff when needed.
  6. Develop and implement strategies for reducing risk and preventing loss.
  7. Collaborate with law enforcement to ensure that appropriate action is taken in cases of criminal activity.
  8. Remain up-to-date on store policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and staff.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
