Job Description

Are you looking to join a team of highly-skilled Asset Protection Detectives at Macy's? Do you have an eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment? If so, Macy's is looking for you! We're searching for an experienced Asset Protection Detective who can help us protect our products and customers.To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in retail loss prevention, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. You must be able to effectively communicate with customers and team members, and have a strong customer service focus. In addition, you must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.If you believe you have the qualifications to excel as an Asset Protection Detective at Macy's, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor customer activity in the store to identify suspicious behavior and prevent shoplifting.
  2. Investigate incidents of shoplifting, fraud, and other forms of asset loss.
  3. Provide excellent customer service while resolving conflicts and answering customer inquiries.
  4. Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor customer and employee activity.
  5. Escort suspected shoplifters from the store and complete associated paperwork.
  6. Prepare detailed reports of incidents, investigations, and other related activities.
  7. Conduct store audits to ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention protocols.
  8. Work closely with store managers and other personnel to identify theft risks.
  9. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  10. Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
