  1. Safeguard company assets: The primary responsibility of an Asset Protection Associate is to protect the company's assets, including merchandise, cash, and property, from theft, fraud, and other forms of loss.
  2. Monitor store activity: The associate will be responsible for monitoring the store's activity, including surveillance, to identify any potential security threats or suspicious behavior.
  3. Enforce store policies: The associate will be responsible for enforcing store policies and procedures related to safety and security, such as bag checks and ID verification for purchases.
  4. Respond to incidents: In the event of an emergency or security breach, the associate will be responsible for taking appropriate action, such as contacting law enforcement, documenting the incident, and providing support to customers and employees.
  5. Conduct investigations: The associate will be responsible for conducting internal investigations into suspected theft or fraud, using surveillance footage and other evidence to identify and apprehend perpetrators.
  6. Collaborate with team: The associate will work closely with other asset protection team members, as well as store management and employees, to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
  7. Provide customer service: The associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all customers, including assisting with any safety or security concerns.
  8. Stay updated on security procedures: The associate will be responsible for staying informed about current security procedures and best practices, and implementing them in the store as needed.
  9. Document and report incidents: The associate will be responsible for accurately documenting and reporting all security incidents, as well as maintaining organized and detailed records.
  10. Train and educate employees: The associate may be responsible for training and educating store employees on safety and security procedures, as well as how to identify and prevent theft and fraud.
  11. Remain vigilant: The associate will need to remain vigilant at all times, paying close attention to their surroundings and identifying any potential security threats.

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As An Asset Protection Associate, You Will Be Interacting With Customers, Store Employees, And Law Enforcement. The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Provide Exceptional Customer Service Is Essential.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Follow Procedures: In Order To Effectively Prevent Loss And Maintain Security, An Asset Protection Associate Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Follow Established Protocols And Procedures.

  • Physical And Emotional Resilience: This Role May Involve Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Standing For Long Periods Of Time, Chasing And Detaining Suspects, And Handling Potentially Stressful Situations. A Candidate Must Be Physically Capable And Emotionally Resilient To Handle These Tasks.
