Job Description

The Media Planner will craft clear and persuasive media plans across a broad range of traditional and online formats for our owned and operated channels, as well as external partners (paid and trade), including but not limited to: onsite display, email, print, OOH, audio, video, social. Support the Consumer Marketing team with media planning needs. Create clear, concise, and strategic media plans that drive business results, support key marketing initiatives, and inspire action. Work directly with the internal business units to plan and execute marketing that best leverages the Cal Times owned house media assets.Create and manage media house calendars for all L.A. Times marketing campaigns (B2C). Onboarding and documenting new marketing opportunities. Oversee special projects as assigned by manager or department head. Assist with negotiation and execution of contracts for external media partners for both trade and paid plans.

Job Qualifications
  • 4-7 years’ experience working in integrated media planning within an advertising agency, production company

  • Advertising Agency experience strongly preferred

  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and exhibit exceptional time management skills
