
Principal Accounting Systems Technician
Supervises the study and evaluation of existing departmental accounting procedures, fiscal controls, and accounting forms, in both computerized and non-automated accounting systems. Supervises the design of all types of accounting systems and controls; participates and directs other professional staff members in working with data processing providers in the design and technical development of computerized applications. Supervises the evaluation of control systems. Supervises the review of audit findings prepared by the County Auditor and outside agencies and supervises the preparation of reports to support requests for exceptions. Supervises the review of State and Federal law affecting revenue recovery and accounting procedures for specific health care programs. Confers with administrative personnel concerning fiscal matters, systems review plans, and findings.
