
Procurement Engineering Technologist
Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an experienced and innovative Procurement Engineering Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge of technical procurement and engineering principles to create a successful and sustainable procurement program. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the Procurement team, ensuring that all processes are in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies. Your proficiency in researching, analyzing, and interpreting data and industry trends will be essential in developing and implementing solutions that optimize procurement processes. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, plus a minimum of two years of procurement engineering experience. You must be able to work within a team environment and possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement solutions to optimize procurement processes.
- Ensure that all procurement processes are in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Research, analyze, and interpret data and industry trends.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Procurement team.
- Maintain a team environment and excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Monitor and evaluate procurement performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Develop and recommend policies and procedures related to procurement engineering.
- Generate reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Remain knowledgeable on industry trends and new technologies.
