
Nondestructive Examination Engineer
Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nondestructive Examination Engineer to join our team. As a Nondestructive Examination Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the area of nondestructive examination and evaluation to support the Laboratory's mission.We are looking for a professional with a strong technical background in the areas of infrared thermography, radiography, eddy current, ultrasonics, and other nondestructive examination techniques. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in conducting nondestructive examinations. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the area of nondestructive examination and evaluation.
- Utilize infrared thermography, radiography, eddy current, and ultrasonics to conduct nondestructive examinations.
- Maintain and update detailed records related to nondestructive examinations.
- Work in collaboration with other engineers and scientists to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures for conducting nondestructive examinations.
- Participate in the selection, installation, and maintenance of nondestructive examination equipment.
- Perform research and data analysis related to nondestructive examination techniques.
- Provide training and guidance on proper nondestructive examination techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to nondestructive examination process.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Excellent Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field
