
MC&A Manager
The Nuclear Material Control and Accountability group is seeking a MC&A Manager 3 to provide leadership and operational support for the Material Control and Accountability team, based out of TA-55, which includes Material Balance Area Custodians and deployed NMCA staff. The selected candidate will lead a small/medium sized team of technical staff responsible for working with Material Balance Area owners to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external requirements. This is a high visibility, high impact, role requiring a balance of strong leadership and technical competence/ability. The selected candidate must be comfortable engaging with management throughout Los Alamos National Laboratory and DOE/NNSA, be able to anticipate challenges or obstacles and tactfully resolve them with minimal supervision.
Thorough knowledge and experience with DOE O 474.2, Nuclear Material Control and Accountability
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/related management experience required.
Active Q Clearance
Experience in the process requirements for handling of special nuclear material (SNM) and operating in laboratory type facilities.
