Job Description

Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Materials Synthesis and Integrated Devices. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic research team focused on developing novel materials and devices for energy and sensing applications. The successful candidate will be expected to use their expertise in materials synthesis and device fabrication to develop cutting-edge technology.This position requires a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field with a strong background in materials synthesis, device fabrication, and characterization. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in the development of new materials and/or devices and have a strong commitment to research excellence. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. We are seeking a highly creative and innovative individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop novel materials and devices for energy and sensing applications using materials synthesis and device fabrication techniques.
  2. Design and execute experiments to characterize materials and devices.
  3. Analyze data and provide technical reports on experimental results.
  4. Contribute to the development of new technologies and products.
  5. Collaborate with other team members in developing research strategies.
  6. Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
  7. Present research findings at conferences and other professional events.
  8. Maintain a safe and secure laboratory environment.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
