
Director for Physics Modeling, Methods & Data.
Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Director for Physics Modeling, Methods & Data to lead our innovative research. This role requires a visionary leader with a passion for physics, modeling, and data. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who has demonstrated experience in leading a team, directing research, developing new methods, and utilizing data to inform decisions. The Director for Physics Modeling, Methods & Data will be responsible for overseeing our efforts to develop innovative physics models and methods for a variety of applications. This individual will design and implement research projects, direct the work of our team of physicists and engineers, and use data and analytics to drive decisions. The successful candidate will also collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, provide expert advice, and ensure our research is conducted in accordance with all applicable regulations. To be successful, the ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in developing physics models, methods, and data. Additionally, the candidate must possess a strong knowledge of physics, analytics, and computational techniques, and demonstrate an ability to analyze complex data sets. The ideal candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an eye for detail, and a proven record of successful project management.
