- Organize and maintain the digitization process for historical archives, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Digitize and convert physical records and documents into digital formats.
- Create and maintain a digital database of archived materials, ensuring proper categorization and metadata tagging.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement digitization strategies and protocols.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all archived materials and digital files.
- Communicate with stakeholders and project managers to prioritize and complete digitization projects.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of digitized materials.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to effectively digitize and preserve materials.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in digitization technology and techniques.
- Assist with the training and supervision of interns or volunteers in the digitization process.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving digitization processes and procedures.
- Uphold the values and mission of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in all aspects of the job.
Bachelor's Degree In Library And Information Science, Archival Studies, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Digital Archives, Preferably In A Research Or Scientific Environment.
Knowledge Of Archival Principles, Standards, And Best Practices For Digitization, Preservation, And Access.
Familiarity With Digital Asset Management Systems, Metadata Standards, And Digital Preservation Tools.
Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
