  1. Lead and coordinate a team of scientists, engineers, and researchers to achieve the goals and objectives of the group.
  2. Support the Group Leader in developing and implementing strategies to advance the group's research and innovation efforts.
  3. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and professional growth.
  4. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, including setting performance goals and providing regular feedback.
  5. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for new team members.
  6. Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure the success of research projects.
  7. Collaborate with other groups and departments within the organization to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
  8. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in the field and incorporate them into the group's work.
  9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including presenting research findings and project updates.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety and ethical standards in research activities.
  11. Represent the group and the organization at conferences, meetings, and other events.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures within the group to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Act as a liaison between the group and upper management, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  14. Foster a culture of innovation and encourage team members to think outside the box.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the organization in all interactions and activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Or Higher In A Scientific Or Engineering Field Relevant To The Laboratory's Research Areas.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, Preferably In A Research Or Technical Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Multiple Teams And Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Motivate A Diverse Team Towards Achieving Strategic Goals And Objectives.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of The Laboratory's Policies, Procedures, And Safety Protocols, As Well As Federal Regulations Related To Research And Development.
