
Deputy Group Leader

- Lead and coordinate a team of scientists, engineers, and researchers to achieve the goals and objectives of the group.
- Support the Group Leader in developing and implementing strategies to advance the group's research and innovation efforts.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, including setting performance goals and providing regular feedback.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for new team members.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure the success of research projects.
- Collaborate with other groups and departments within the organization to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in the field and incorporate them into the group's work.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including presenting research findings and project updates.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and ethical standards in research activities.
- Represent the group and the organization at conferences, meetings, and other events.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures within the group to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a liaison between the group and upper management, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Foster a culture of innovation and encourage team members to think outside the box.
- Uphold the values and mission of the organization in all interactions and activities.
Master's Degree Or Higher In A Scientific Or Engineering Field Relevant To The Laboratory's Research Areas.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, Preferably In A Research Or Technical Environment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Multiple Teams And Stakeholders.
Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Motivate A Diverse Team Towards Achieving Strategic Goals And Objectives.
In-Depth Knowledge Of The Laboratory's Policies, Procedures, And Safety Protocols, As Well As Federal Regulations Related To Research And Development.
