Associate General Counsel - IP & Data Security

The Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an experienced and talented individual to join our team as an Associate General Counsel - IP & Data Security. This position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, while playing a key role in the protection of our intellectual property and data security. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an in-depth understanding of the legal aspects of intellectual property and data security. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a JD and at least 7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or data security law.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property and data security matters.
2. Evaluate and respond to legal inquiries related to intellectual property and data security.
3. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to protecting intellectual property and data security.
4. Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Negotiate and draft contracts related to intellectual property and data security.
6. Represent the organization in legal proceedings and disputes.
7. Manage outside counsel and litigation teams.
8. Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Stay up to date with changes in the legal landscape.
10. Advise senior management on legal issues related to intellectual property and data security.
