Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist to join the team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for problem-solving and the ability to work independently, and should be passionate about leveraging their expertise in the field of Analytical Chemistry to contribute to the laboratory's research. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in a related field. They must have a good understanding of the fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry and be able to apply them to research projects. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, highly organized, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone who is excited to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and who will bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas to our team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute analytical methods for research projects
  2. Utilize a variety of analytical techniques and equipment for sample preparation and analysis
  3. Interpret experimental data and results and present findings in a clear and concise manner
  4. Troubleshoot technical problems related to analytical chemistry
  5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure all research projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  6. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  7. Interpret and comply with safety protocols and regulations
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  9. Keep detailed records of research activities and results
  10. Maintain laboratory notebooks and other documentation in accordance with laboratory standards
