- Develop and implement curriculum for vocational nursing program in accordance with state and national standards.
- Prepare and deliver engaging and informative lectures and presentations to students.
- Create and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, promoting their professional and personal growth.
- Demonstrate and teach clinical skills in a simulated laboratory setting.
- Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations at healthcare facilities.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve and update program curriculum.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of nursing and incorporate them into teaching.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Serve as a role model for students, exhibiting professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
- Adhere to all college policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds.
- Attend and participate in program and accreditation meetings and workshops.
- Serve on committees and contribute to the overall success and growth of the program and college.
- Provide guidance and support to students in their preparation for the NCLEX exam.
- Maintain relationships with healthcare facilities and assist in placing students in clinical rotations.
- Serve as an advocate for the vocational nursing program and promote its value to the community.
- Comply with ethical and professional standards set by the nursing profession.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students From Diverse Backgrounds.
A Valid And Current California Vocational Nursing License.
A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Vocational Nurse In A Clinical Setting.
A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field.
Previous Teaching Experience, Preferably In A Vocational Nursing Program.
