  1. Develop and implement curriculum for vocational nursing program in accordance with state and national standards.
  2. Prepare and deliver engaging and informative lectures and presentations to students.
  3. Create and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  4. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, promoting their professional and personal growth.
  5. Demonstrate and teach clinical skills in a simulated laboratory setting.
  6. Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations at healthcare facilities.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve and update program curriculum.
  8. Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of nursing and incorporate them into teaching.
  9. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  10. Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
  11. Serve as a role model for students, exhibiting professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
  12. Adhere to all college policies and procedures.
  13. Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds.
  15. Attend and participate in program and accreditation meetings and workshops.
  16. Serve on committees and contribute to the overall success and growth of the program and college.
  17. Provide guidance and support to students in their preparation for the NCLEX exam.
  18. Maintain relationships with healthcare facilities and assist in placing students in clinical rotations.
  19. Serve as an advocate for the vocational nursing program and promote its value to the community.
  20. Comply with ethical and professional standards set by the nursing profession.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • A Valid And Current California Vocational Nursing License.

  • A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Vocational Nurse In A Clinical Setting.

  • A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Teaching Experience, Preferably In A Vocational Nursing Program.
