- Conduct stress analysis on complex subsystems for aircraft and spacecraft designs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in stress analysis and provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
- Lead a team of engineers to ensure the structural integrity of subsystems.
- Develop and implement stress analysis methods and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments and cross-functional teams to ensure design and analysis alignment.
- Conduct research and stay current on industry advancements and emerging technologies related to stress analysis.
- Identify potential risks and propose solutions to mitigate stress-related issues.
- Communicate analysis results and recommendations to project managers and stakeholders.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and compliance with stress analysis requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to stress analysis processes and procedures.
- Continuously review and improve stress analysis methods to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on stress analysis principles and techniques.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for stress analysis related questions and issues.
- Drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the stress analysis team.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Stress Analysis For Aerospace Or Defense Systems.
Proficiency In Using Stress Analysis Software Such As Ansys, Nastran, Or Abaqus.
Strong Understanding Of Structural Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, And Fatigue Analysis.
Experience Leading A Team Of Stress Engineers And Coordinating With Other Engineering Disciplines To Ensure Successful Integration Of Subsystems.
