- Oversee all financial operations for the Sikorsky division, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain accounting systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Lead a team of accounting professionals, setting goals and providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Act as a subject matter expert for all Sikorsky division-related financial matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external partners.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve accounting processes.
- Identify and address any potential financial risks or issues.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Strong Foundation In Accounting Principles, Finance, And Business Management Is Necessary For This Role.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Accounting Experience: Previous Experience In Accounting, Preferably In A Leadership Role, Is Required To Effectively Manage And Oversee The Accounting Team.
Knowledge Of Gaap And Government Accounting: Familiarity With Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Government Contracting Regulations Is Essential For This Role.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Ability To Analyze Financial Data, Identify Trends, And Make Strategic Recommendations Is Crucial For Success In This Position.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As An Accounting Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team And Communicating With Various Stakeholders, So Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are A Must.
