  1. Manage and maintain the Linux systems for Lockheed Martin, ensuring their stability and functionality at all times.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise with the Linux systems, utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
  3. Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify and implement system improvements and updates.
  4. Monitor system performance and proactively address any potential problems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal functioning.
  5. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in Linux technology to make recommendations for system upgrades and enhancements.
  6. Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, for the Linux systems.
  7. Implement and maintain security measures to protect the Linux systems from cyber threats and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other team members as needed.
  9. Work closely with vendors and external partners to resolve any issues or implement new solutions.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and handle any urgent system issues.
  11. Collaborate with the IT team to integrate Linux systems with other technologies and platforms.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members on Linux system administration best practices.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Linux Operating Systems.

  • Strong Knowledge Of System Administration, Including Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, And Maintenance.

  • Experience With Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Perl.

  • Familiarity With Security Protocols And Best Practices In A Linux Environment, Including Firewalls, Encryption, And Access Control.
