- Train and mentor fellow warfighters on all aspects of F-35 flight operations
- Utilize expertise and experience to impart knowledge and skills to a diverse group of trainees
- Conduct training sessions both CONUS and OCONUS
- Develop and implement training curriculum for F-35 flight operations
- Ensure trainees are proficient in all required areas, including safety procedures, emergency protocols, and advanced flight maneuvers
- Provide guidance and support to trainees during simulated and actual flight missions
- Continuously evaluate and assess trainees' progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with other flight instructors and personnel to ensure consistency and efficiency in training methods
- Stay up-to-date with F-35 aircraft and training program developments to ensure accurate and relevant instruction
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and serve as a role model for trainees
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all training activities
- Contribute to the overall success and effectiveness of the F-35 Flight Instructor Pilot program.
Extensive Flight Experience: A Qualified F-35 Flight Instructor Pilot Must Have A Minimum Of 1000 Hours Of Flight Time, With A Significant Portion Of That Time Being In The F-35 Aircraft. They Should Also Have Experience In Various Operational Environments, Including Combat Zones.
Instructor Certification: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Instructor Pilot Certification From The Air Force Or Navy, With A Minimum Of 500 Hours Of Pilot-In-Command Time. They Should Also Have Experience Conducting Ground And Flight Training For Military Pilots.
Knowledge Of F-35 Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The F-35 Aircraft's Systems, Capabilities, And Limitations. They Should Be Able To Effectively Train And Advise Warfighters On How To Utilize The Aircraft's Advanced Technology In Various Scenarios.
Strong Communication Skills: As An F-35 Flight Instructor Pilot, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Teaching And Mentoring Warfighters From Different Backgrounds And Levels Of Experience. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For Effectively Conveying Complex Information And Instructions.
Willingness To Travel: This Job Will Require The Candidate To Travel To Various Locations, Including Conus And Oconus, To Conduct Training For Warfighters. As Such, They Should Be Willing And Able To Travel Frequently And Adapt To Different Environments And Cultures.
