Job Description

At Lockheed Martin, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Computational Plasma Physicist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of plasma physics and a strong background in numerical computing, as well as the ability to collaborate with other physicists, engineers and mathematicians. The successful candidate will be able to develop, analyze and interpret complex models to support plasma physics research and development.We are seeking a Computational Plasma Physicist who has a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Physics, Applied Physics or a related field. Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python and/or Fortran is essential as well as experience with high performance computing (HPC) applications and tools. The ability to apply analytical techniques to solve complex problems is also important. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication skills and an aptitude to think innovatively in the development of new approaches.
