
Consultant, Nurse Disability

- Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of disability claims, utilizing nursing knowledge and expertise to determine eligibility and appropriate management.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of disability insurance, staying up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to clients and colleagues on disability insurance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective strategies for managing disability claims and promoting successful return-to-work outcomes.
- Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Evaluate medical records and other relevant information to make informed decisions and recommendations for disability claims.
- Develop and deliver educational materials and training to team members and clients on disability insurance policies, processes, and updates.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all disability claims and related activities.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, legal representatives, and other external stakeholders involved in disability claims.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all applicable privacy laws and regulations in handling sensitive information related to disability claims.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of disability management practices and make recommendations for improvement.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and consistently strive to exceed expectations in all interactions.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for clients and colleagues.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field
Valid Nursing License In The State Of Employment
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Disability Case Management Or Related Field
Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Disability Laws And Regulations
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Range Of Clients And Colleagues.
