Job Description

  1. Perform vitreoretinal surgeries on patients with various retinal conditions, including but not limited to retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
  2. Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and assessments of patients to determine the best treatment plan.
  3. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in vitreoretinal surgery through continuing education and training.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as ophthalmologists, optometrists, and nurses to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear and detailed explanations of procedures and post-operative care instructions.
  6. Monitor and manage post-operative complications and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  7. Utilize electronic medical records to accurately document patient information and treatment plans.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families, promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the practice.
  11. Educate and train medical students and residents on vitreoretinal surgery procedures and techniques.
  12. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the practice and its services to the community.
  13. Stay updated on insurance and billing regulations and ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
  14. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve surgical techniques and processes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Their Families.

  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School And Completion Of A Residency Program In Ophthalmology.

  • Board Certification In Ophthalmology With A Subspecialty In Vitreoretinal Surgery.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Vitreoretinal Surgery, With A Strong Track Record Of Successful Surgeries And Patient Outcomes.

  • Proficient In The Latest Techniques And Technologies In Vitreoretinal Surgery, Including Laser Surgery, Scleral Buckling, And Vitrectomy.
