We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Unit Secretary. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our unit by providing administrative support to our medical staff and patients.   1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to the unit in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
  3. Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
  4. Schedule appointments and procedures for patients and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  5. Process and maintain accurate patient records, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  6. Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and their families to provide exceptional customer service.
  7. Monitor and order office supplies and equipment as needed.
  8. Assist in managing patient flow by coordinating with nurses and other staff members.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
  10. Complete administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and faxing.
  11. Collaborate with other unit secretaries and staff members to ensure efficient operations.
  12. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the unit manager.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education: A Unit Secretary At Lifebridge Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Previous Clerical Or Administrative Experience: Applicants For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Clerical Or Administrative Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
