- Assist surgeons during complex surgical procedures by anticipating their needs and providing necessary tools and equipment.
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment throughout the surgical procedure by following infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and smooth workflow during surgeries.
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons and other team members to ensure proper instrument placement and patient positioning.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient information.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines and protocols.
- Remain up-to-date with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
- Assist in training and mentoring new surgical technologists.
- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Act as a resource for surgeons and other team members by providing expertise and knowledge in surgical procedures and techniques.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Setting.
Certification As A Surgical Technologist (Cst) Through Nbstsa.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Surgical Technology And Procedures.
Ability To Anticipate Surgeon's Needs And Assist In A Variety Of Surgical Procedures.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure.
