1. Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during operations and procedures.
2. Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist with proper positioning of patients.
4. Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures.
5. Handle and pass surgical instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members.
6. Assist with patient positioning and transportation before, during, and after procedures.
7. Ensure accurate counting of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after procedures.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
9. Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
10. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures and patient information.
11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during procedures.
12. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with surgical techniques and technology.
13. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
14. Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment.
