Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist looking for a PRN position in an acute care setting? LifeBridge Health is seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Speech Pathologist PRN for our acute care units. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.   1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  3. Provide evidence-based treatment interventions to improve speech and language skills.
  4. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on communication and swallowing strategies and techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations and treatment.
  8. Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of speech pathology.
  9. Adhere to ethical and professional standards as set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  10. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing LifeBridge Health.
  14. Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  15. Meet productivity and performance standards set by the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology Is Required For The Position, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In The Field.

  • Asha Certification: The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) Certification Is A Must-Have For This Position, Ensuring That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Of The Organization For Clinical Competence.

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid License To Practice Speech-Language Pathology In The State Where The Job Is Located, Providing Assurance Of Their Legal And Ethical Qualifications.

  • Experience In Acute Care: Previous Experience Working In An Acute Care Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Position, As The Role Involves Providing Speech Therapy Services To Patients With Acute Medical Needs.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Speech Pathologist, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role To Effectively Assess, Diagnose, And Treat Patients.
