SPEECH PATHOLOGIST PRN - ACUTE CARE

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based treatment interventions to improve speech and language skills.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on communication and swallowing strategies and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations and treatment.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of speech pathology.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards as set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.

Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology Is Required For The Position, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In The Field.
Asha Certification: The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) Certification Is A Must-Have For This Position, Ensuring That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Of The Organization For Clinical Competence.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid License To Practice Speech-Language Pathology In The State Where The Job Is Located, Providing Assurance Of Their Legal And Ethical Qualifications.
Experience In Acute Care: Previous Experience Working In An Acute Care Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Position, As The Role Involves Providing Speech Therapy Services To Patients With Acute Medical Needs.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Speech Pathologist, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
